Nice car of course!!
but above all ... nice place Sintra ... what a nice place is, all Portugal it is, nothing like a good walk through its gardens and afterwards a magnificent queijadas in a tea lounge in the village lost in translation!

Bão tarde Martim !
Good to see Portugal finally got some rain afterall ! I drove back from the Algarve in october and I thought there had been forest fires everywhere.
Well, there have been a lot, but it turns out in some places it was so dry the leaves turned brown like they were burned...
Past through Bussaco, not for offroading, but for walking through the forest. Deceivingly steep to walk up...
The palace is fantastic too ...

The restaurant is the best, really worth a detour of many kilometers ! Its a hotel as well.
I do wonder what the person who designed this arch with doors was thinking off at that moment..

I'm glad you enjoyed Portugal Dan! We had a lot of problems with fires this year. Every year we have problems, but this year it was especially bad. Lot's of deaths. We're still not in the clear. The rain came but only for a weekend and we're still having temperatures in the low 20's º C with lot's of sun. Excelent for tourism, but we're in an extreme drought currently. Some places have less than 20 days worth of water. We might get som rain this weekend, but it's back to dry and sunny in the mid 20's the week after. Anyway, should you need anything from Portugal, feel free to ask. 2006 D3 TDV6 SE

Thanks Martim ! I will keep that in mind ! We go to Portugal several times per year since 2000.
So I do speak/write a bit of Portugese, but not good enough to demonstrate here !
If you need something from the Netherlands, you can also ask me. What I wonder about is why
all car rental companies never give you the car they advertise. They say 'or alike' ....
But unless you are in the carrental business, you wouldn't know either !

I,said to martim : very pics , and what a good country with nice people too.
Second time we'd go to the Portugal , this summer the south , last year the north.
Hope the fire and terrific death don't close the tracks in this superb country...many many tracks to do and lot of superb scenery, from,sand to mountains and forest.
Thinking we'll return next year , Costa St Vincent is amazing, and there's many tracks we'd not explore, so....
And Dan , you're welcome in the French Alps...Marco.
