Did you fit it yourself??

I am thinking of ordering the electric winch for my car and wondered what is involved fitting wise. The dealer is quoting silly prices so I want to have a go myself. I think some members have done their own so I would appreciate a little info, i.e. tools required, any cutting of bumper/trim etc. time taken, 1 or 2 man job etc etc.

Thanks in advance.

I let the dealer do it.
It was the first for them to fit on a DIII, and took them a day and a half.

they'll charge me 300€ for labour

Which dealer was it? Do you have all the other stuff fitted by him too, and are you happy with their service?

I'm from Belgium too...

Hi and welcome Wink

I ordered the DIII with roofrack, so obvious had to be fitted by the dealer.
As for the winch cutting in the bumper is required, I didn't want to mess it up, and pay extra in case something goeas wrong

I go to Van Damme at Dendermonde, as for now I'm happy with their work and service
