Setup new ride level module |
|
I have a brand new never fitted or VIN registered, ride level module. So far I've got quite a lot of conflicting views on the process to set one of these up - some say you can just plug and play, flash the firmware, calibrate the height and your good to go. Others say an entire backup must be taken of the existing/old module, then flashed to the new module.
The GAP tool allows for firmware flash to AMK or Hitachi. In my mind this would normally be enough along with the height calibration, but if the module isn't coded to the VIN of my car, how will the GAP tool be able to talk to it to do this?
I'm leaning towards paying someone to do it properly, but thought I'd see if anyone else has done this successfully with a brand new module.
