Servicing in Surrey
Hi,
As a recent new owner of a Discovery 4 wondered if anyone could recommend a good independent garage for servicing? I’m based near Epsom, Surrey.

Its a difficult area to find an indy. I am based in Walton-On-Thames.
I have previously used Guava in Guildford which were a service centre, but they have been taken over by Hunters, and their level on service has dropped, and their prices increased a lot. £135+VAT now.
I am thinking of trying Moore Automotive now, who are based in Chertsey. I have no experience of them yet, but think i will give them a bash. Lots of positive reviews on Google etc.

Ah yes, i should have mentioned Geoff. I have used him before and he was very good, but he cant do my servicing as i have a warranty, and it requires a VAT registered garage.

I used Guy Salmon Thames Ditton for years with Jags and Discos. Got so peed off with them last year that I took the recommendation of other ex GS users.
Now use Wimbledon Land Rover, an easy journey up for you. They are an Authorised Land Rover Service Centre (they don’t sell cars) and do everything so much better than GS and with serious knowledge.
Their techs receive the same product training as main dealer techs.
Also costs less.
I am extremely pleased with them so far.

That’s good to know. I was considering them as an option. What’s their hourly rate? Will give them a chance to quote when the time comes!

Hi,
I've used Moore Automotive Limited in Virginia Water for both my previous D3 and current D4 after a bad experience elsewhere.
Good honest guys and I wouldn't currently take my D4 anywhere else.
