Anyone give me a price that's been quoted for a 'B' service
ie 30k & 60k
see service chart
http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...0miles.pdf
Got my 120k service due soon so need to start looking at costs.
Had a dealer call today re an other issue and when asked to quote they got back to me with a 'Managers' total cost of £350 all incl. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Try this recent thread for a spread of costs:
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=397888
Ours is going in to Lancaster Reading for £451 As wife is using the car all the time and we can't work out a way to find the time to get to Yeovil for £340...

Mine 120k is due soon, and is going to be done by our very own 10forcash. £340 all inc. I will be taking the car to his location.
OK, he won't wash it like the dealer does, but he will do a very thorough job, replacing air and fuel filters (check if thats included in the dealers price)
With the pathetic trade in values and my high miles, I simply cannot justify paying dealer hourly rates anymore.

Yep, both included in the 120k service.
But thanks for raising this Gareth, as mine has a K&N filter I should be able to get an extra £10 knocked off.
But before that, I'll get them to match Yeovils price of £340.
So £330 is what I'm aiming for.

I'm sure I saw £350 quoted on the menu board last time I popped into Farnells before XMAS but didnt have glasses on so could have been £550 . When I had the D1 RLR were always cheaper than Farnells but times are changing.

Yeah if we were not under warranty I would be using an independent most likely.
Also, since they did the EPB in December and did the bushes on the anti-roll bar, the car seems to wander more on camber (or maybe just pull to the left) so I need to have words with them about that, and as they did the previous work it makes sense to have them check it - ideally I want the alignment checked but not sure they will do this. Its definitely not as it was anyway, so I won't be taking "they all do that sir" as an answer!

RiponLR have just quoted me £431.55p
I said thank you but no thank you.
They asked what I'd been quoted elsewhere [£350] and said they couldn't match it.
So RLR are definately no longer cheap. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Ron I spoke to 3 dealerships and price matched them all varied. Ripon were prepared to match them to get the business. As you are local to them they won't want to lose your custom.
The BRIGHT side is that you know that the loan car will be
1) Pug 206 van
2) VW Bora
3) Ford fiesta van

Oh yes they will, reckon they'll be glad to see the back of me for the hassle I give them.
I just moaned to them this eve for not receiving my bill yet for my Turbo repair [I got a reason].
And I think I can get by without the silver 'w' reg Pug. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Ron - just had my 60k service done.
Quotes ranged from £549 to £350 - I got the local place to price match at £350.
Got to be worth haggling with a dealer in this climate. I see no ships........

PM 10forcash
I know where my 30K service is being done... who cares about a car wash FFS.
He knows the D3 better than nearly any dealer tech and can help you suss out any potential issues with enough tech info to get the dealer to fix it under warranty.
An independent tech with the right kit and knowledge of what needs doing.
And if he does service your in warranty D3, its still covered by LR for warranty jobs
