Service intervals and indicator

D3 TDV6 S 06

I do 6000 miles a year and when the warranty runs out I plan to have the car serviced every two years. From a recent thread I am now worried that if I try to do this the service indicator will, after a little over-run, put the car into 'limp home' mode. is this correct?
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they're not out to get you.

Just did the obvious and rang my local LR agent, Lancaster Reading. They told me that this does not happen and that it is inconceivable that the D3 would go into sulk mode. The guy I spoke to knew of one D3 that had gone 10,000 miles over its 'due date'.

Phew!

Oh no.... you've just given LR an excuse for a software upgrade to introduce "sulk mode". Rolling with laughter
