Service intervals (4.4 V8)
Alright...so I'm at 45k, so just had the oil changed the other day. Last free one...
Now...I know LR says the intervals are 7500 miles, but that to me seems pretty long for conventional, non synthetic oil, even though it is a larger capacity (theoretically the oil should stay cleaner longer), but still...it kind of concerns me. Am I just paranoid, and doing them more often (maybe every 5k) is wasting time/money?

Why do you say "normal" oil? Mine is FULL synthetic and in our dry, slightly dusty area, mine gets changed, with filter, every 10 000 klm MAX. If I go on trip to Botswana with the accompanying talc dust, it may come down to every 5000 klm !

I believe LR advise me to have the car serviced every 16.000 kms (10.000 mls)...

depending on the year model my 2007 V8's service intervals are 24000 kms whereas the 2005-2006 models were serviced every 12000kms. i see all D4s both Petrol and Diesel have to be serviced every 12000 kms.

Mine's a my2005 (actually built in 2004)... still doesn't make sense, this big a difference.
