Service Indicator Reset

Hi All,

I am the newbie on the forum - we just took delivery of our 0606 D3 SE. It has taken some getting used to after the 04 XC90 T6 but we love it!

Maybe this question has been answered already, if so, my apologies for asking again:

Is there a sequence needed to reset the service indicator. I am thinking of doing some of the services myself in the future and just wanted to know if it was possible to do the service indicator reset without needing any special tool. D4 HSE MY2013 Grey

There is a reset procedure, but as far as I know this only applies to variable interval service regime vehicles. In the UK the regime is fixed time/distance regime. The reset procedure didn't work on mine, and it somewhat complicated anyway.

Dealer can reset it once it is hooked up to the computer.

Is these a link to the procedure on this site? I can try it and if it fails to work, then I'll know it is dealer only. If it can only be done by the dealer via their computer, then I'll be limiting my servicing to interim oil changes Smile D4 HSE MY2013 Grey

It's a workshop manual procedure. Not available here, but open to all via subscription to GTR.
