When I dropped my car off this morning, I had a decent chat with the mechanic. I mentioned the service indicator that is supposed be present. His answer was that it will come up with a "Service Now" message when the service becomes due, after 15k or 12 months whichever is soonest. It does not count down.
Sounds like my old Volvo, which put a light on after 10k or 12 months. My wifes Mini has a count down indicator.
We will see! won't be long until 1st service for mine now, Over 7k and a lot of work coming up in the next 2 months.

Good to know. What reaction did you get to the suspension problems you've had? 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine

No idea yet. The dealer phoned me this evening to say that they were still working on it, and it will be Tuesday or Wednesday before Its ready.
They said they had run full diagnostics and reconfigured the systems. When I asked for a bit more detail, I was told they would let me know everything they had done, next week. They have also ordered some spare parts which will not arrive until Monday. These include rear wiper arm, and tow bracket storage bracket.

Gareth,
Does your wiper arm sometimes stay proud of the glass ? Especially when it gets dirty ? Seems the spring is not very strong and fails to keep it pushed against the glass. Get an un-wiped area sometimes at the end of the arm.
Just wondered as mine is doing this unless I clean the joint in the arm. Maybe some 3 in 1 will fix this ?

I hav xactly the same problem with my rear wiper - wondered if it was design feature to stop the wiper freezing to the glas in cold weather or to accommodate some fancy curvature on the rear screen - problem is, I don't think there is any fancy curvature!!!
Another for my latest faults list!

I know from direct experience that the rear wiper arm DOES freeze to the glass - and its park position is not on the heating elements of rear screen! Sometimes I really wonder who tested these vehicles before the design was signed off!

No you are all correct, the arm is stiff, and sits proud of the glass. It gets worse when a good dose of road salt is added.
Told them to change it.
