service costs

It's time for the disco's first service and I'm surprised to see the difference in cost between a main dealer (Oxford @ £354 incl VAT) and a authorised independent (James French @ £180 + VAT), I've been told by a guy at JF that they use genuine LR parts and work to the approved service documentation.

Does anyone have any experience of JF, what would you suggest?

Do they have the full kit so they can check out (and update if necessary) everything software wise?

Shop around for more quotes, try Lancaster in Reading, first service was less than £300 with them

Our sponsor Lakeland charge £230; I have been quoted £275 by Rocar Moores in Huddersfield which unfortunately for Lakeland is good enough for me being local. However, if I were planning a holiday in the Lakes......

... and I still may visit them for some AT2's

Good call Simong, just swapped my service to Lakeland. Good excuse to spend the weekend up there. Thanks for the info. They've quoted me £250 for a TDV6 HSE which is still good in my opinion.
