Serperntine Belt

Hi all,

Changing the serperntine belt , tensioner and idler pulley, I have all the parts ready however I have noticed there is a seal to be fitted to the new idler pulley, could anyone advise who has renewed the idler pulley, am I likely to lose some engine oil or coolant when removing?

Many thanks

Paul

Pretty certain no seal needs to be fitted, to the oil pump nose yes, but dont go there unless you want trouble.
I did my aux belt and both pulleys as they came out of the boxes, no issues to date.

The seal is only for dirt and dust, it only seals to the cambelt cover, nothing to worry about.

Flack Thumbs Up
