Series mud flaps LR4
Have read on the forum that some members have fitted series 3 mud flaps to their LR4. I am keen to fit both front and rear flaps that are more useful than the genuine ones I got fitted before I took delivery of my new truck a few weeks ago. Not looking for something to big or unsightly just a set that would on the front protect the car much better and on the rear to contain more spray so that the load on my trailer did not get so dirty. Is anyone able to give me any advice as to what to buy and how to modify ?

Thanks Euan very helpful and they look like they will protect the car from stones grit etc. Will need to get them ordered and on before winter sets in !

Euan, is the front set the "fronts" for the Series 3, or another set of rears cut to fit?

I was thinking of getting the original ones, in order to also protect the bodywork. Does this mean that they don't do much?
Anyone's got any photos of the originals fitted (front and rear)?

originals look nice. but break off if used off road.
I went to halfords and bought some 'spacro' ones. Plain black with no sticker, brand new for £11.99 a pair and look brilliantly. And they look nice and simple. And work off road.

Thanks Mr H great detailed description and pictures.
Are the original series flaps with Land Rover embossed on them, like yours in the photos, heavier/thicker and better quality than the after market ones you can get without Land Rover on them
