Second service cost in Scotland (or other places)

Just had the service indicator ping up on the dash for our 60-plate D4. So the phoning begins....

First service I had done at Whites Auto Services and all was good.

This time I figured I'd still do the phone around to see the lay of the land.

Pentland quoted me £561 as it was a major service but could do me a 10% 'Loyalty' discount. Ta.
Whites quoted me £325 all in.

Easy to see where my money will do so far. Unless anyone has any better sources. Are these representative costs for central Scotland?

depends if you want a main dealer or not really, Parks in Ayr are the cheapest dealer I can find, doubt they will beat Whytes for price especially after taking fuel into account.

kljw,

Sorry, only just seen your post. White's are as near as damn it central Edinburgh. They're a stones throw from Haymarket Station in a little back street. Always busy, always happy. Just had my Freelander 2 serviced there for £150.

Incidentally, the Disco service turned out slightly cheaper when I went to pay, which was nice. Satisfied customer.
