| seatbel audible warning won't stop |
|
Hi guys, the seatbelt audible warning won't stop (drivers seat ). Happened last week but seemed to reset once ignition was switched off. Any ideas before i go mad !!! Discovery 3 HSE 55 plate Buckingham Blue with Alpacha
Discovery 300 TDI auto, one of the last, now gone
Freelander 2 gs manual, from new, now gone
Defender td5 full county pack, from new lovely lovely, now gone
Defender 110 12 seater 300tdi no heater, good prep for antarctic, now gone
various old farm landies, what a way to learn to drive !!!

dont put anything on passenger seat, If you clip in in and out 10 times it cancels it altogether I think 
Some will confirm how its done shortly  Now Renault Trafic

When I bought my Disco, the passenger seat warning couldn't be stopped.
Belt in or out, the light was on and audible warning was getting me mad.
It was a sticky pressure sensor on the pad. Fixed by the dealer.....
..but I also discovererd through this forum (my first "fix" ever) that you can disable the seatbelt audible warning by inserting the seatbelt (i thing 7 or 9 times) in its slot.
If you haven't already, please try it.
Keep the seatbelt button pressed and insert the metal seatbelt tab 9 times (I think it's the magic number).
Audio gone....the warning light will still work
if it doesn't work....search the forum and you will find the exact number.
Anyway, if the light still stays on, it's probably the sensor.

Possible...but you were talking about driver's seat!!!
If I place a heavy backpack on the pax seat....depending on weight and position of the bag...the light at times comes on!
Try it....remove the bag and place it on the floor...or just lift it....

I had a cake tin with four pieces of cake in it on the pass seat, every now and then BONG!!!!!! took me miles to work out what was causing it Now Renault Trafic

this caught me out a few days ago (only had the disco 4 days at this point) was driving me nuts! i only figured it out once I'd taken the chineese takeaway off the passengers seat.... Doh!
