Scottish Cottage .... My Wifes 30th Birthday
Hello Chaps,
I am looking to take my wife, newborn and two dogs away 04-07 June to celebrate my Wifes 30th Birthday!
I am in the Army and have only just been posted to Edinburgh so do not know the Area very well.
I was interested if anyone had or knows of a nice cottage that I could rent/hire for this period?
Somewhere like:
Loch Lomond
Isle of Skye
Aviemore etc..
Any advice is appreciated!
If anyone does have a place to rent then I would happily write a review if the forum rules permit?
Thank you all for helping a man in the ever lasting quest to please his wife!
Regards

Not far from you, there are plenty around the fife coast
Try East Neuk of Fife for holiday cottages
Sorry don't have any links as I stay close by.
But a lot will depend on what your looking for?
Do you want peace and quiet or nightlife,
Country location, seaside or in a town,
Shops, pubs ( that's a definite must) within walking distance
Etc etc

Hugh,
That looks great, pity they don't put the prices/availability on their site though

It might be worth taking a look at the Landmark Trust, they have properties all over the country and there are a few in Scotland.
They rescue lots of unique buildings, towers, follies and the like. We have stayed three so far and they have all been wonderful and very special. Clavell Tower was amazing, although a long way from Scotland.
But this one is in Scotland and one we would love to stay in:

We have accommodation available. Not specifically a cottage but, rather, fully self-contained 'wings' of our house, either 1 bed or 2 bed.
Location is per my profile.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Kylerhea in Skye would be my recommendation. Went there two years ago and adored it. We didn't stay in this cottage but wished we had. It's not posh living but the location is stunning- if you like it quiet and remote

If you aren't wanting to go too far with dogs and a baby then Pitlochry is a very nice area, just search on normal accomodation sites, a lot of places are going to be busy this close to your date.Joined the BMWX5 45e group
