Hello Gary,
Just been out to measure, not the best way as I haven’t a tread gauge but I have 7mm approx in the centre, and 5mm towards edge. The wheels are 18”
2springers, my post wasn’t a challenge to you or anyone, just a post of my experience.
Cheers, Andy

Andy - didn't think you were mate - sorry if my post gave that impression.
The reason so many people on the forum started searching around for an alternative tyres was because of the wear and some reporting the tramlining. I actually loved the tyre but those downsides moved me away from it to something else.
I went AT but got sick of the hard ride at 20k miles and didnt need the aggressive tread pattern. but was recommended the Verde All Seasons.
You may be lucky and not experience the issues many of us did. Mine wore out on the shoulders after 16k of relatively gentle driving. I had the geometry checked and it was in tolerance. The LR Dealer told me "they all do that"

Thanks that’s good, I didn’t want to annoy anyone on here it’s a brilliant site with great people, and I’m a newcomer/ lurker.
I’ll be honest I didn’t know people had a bad experience with the scorp zeros, maybe my tread depth is an early indicator?

Thanks Andy.
Useful info. Thanks for taking the time. I'm wondering if the smaller wheels aid the experience. I have 20s.
Funnily enough I'm at about 23k miles and I'm down to 5mm all across on front and back so not too bad. Gary

So, had the Scorpion Verde All-Seasons fitted on Sunday, obviously it’s too soon to make any definitive comparison, but I can say that they feel more ‘direct’ than my previous Goodyear Wranglers HP, the steering also feels lighter.
They’re on 20” wheels whereas the Wranglers were on 19’s but the pressures are/were both spot-on and as LR recommended, my comparison could therefore perhaps simply be because of the different wheel size, but regardless first impressions are good.

Thanks for the update space cadet. You've got about 6months or more on me, so please keep me updated through the various seasons of use.
Cheers Gary

Thanks Gary, will do.
Was perversally hoping for the cold and snow to continue for a few days at least so as to be able to test them out, but sod’s-law its turned mild as soon as they were fitted…!!

Space Cadet hope they are still working well for you. I agree that they do make the steering lighter. I moved from AT to them so I felt an immediate and dramatic improvement in handling and ride quality.

Hi Space Cadet
More snow expected over weekend. If you get any and your take the Disco out, I'm interested to know how you get on with your Verdes, especially when braking.
Cheers Gary

Hi Gary
Will do, truthfully with the recent warmer weather though I’ve stopped noticing the tyres as much as obviously they’re just doing what they’re meant to do!
The car continues to feels more precise though compared to the previous and higher side-walled tyres and almost as if it’s quite a bit lighter.
I didn’t have any issues with the Wranglers on the muddy roads or cold or snow though, but hopefully a bit of snow at the weekend will provide some good comparison.
I only fitted the Verde AS’ because I’d bought some new larger 20” wheels and fancied trying the tyres that most of the new more road-focused RR’s I see around have fitted.
Shamefully my D4 is just a nursery-run and family weekend car, not a workhorse.

Hi Mark
Any news regarding the tyres in the most recent spell of weather?
Cheers Gary
