Is there a list of items included in each of the scheduled services? Can't find anything in the books.
Thanks,

Hello Sideview,
The Oz spec vehicles come with a booklet called Service Portfolio - it has the vehicle I.D. details, some waffle about Customer Care, and the Service Records which the Dealer completes at each A, B or C service. But nowhere does it itemise the components of each service. This not only makes it difficult to do much yourself, but it also does not let you check that the Dealer has carried out the recommended procedure.
I've just parted with $496 hard-earned bikkies for the 24,000km. service and I was interested to see if it had really been necessary to change the pollen filter, amongst other things.
Of course, the service recommendations in other regions may be different; we often find that shorter intervals and more intensive services are recommended for Australia, but it would be nice to know that you only paid for the needed bits. Ex Defender 110 200Tdi owner.

Thanks Sideview - just what I needed. I don't know why this is a secret in this part of the world; probably just the time-honored policy of Land Rover Australia: "Tell the nothing, charge the for everything."
And never let the customers interrupt your work...
Thanks again, now to get back to enjoying another 12,000km before the next service.

I am in NZ and have had the same questions..... Asked dealer to itemise them and send me a dummy invoice... that has solved it. I can see exactly what has been done. BTW Land Rover in NZ seem to be phasing out the service plan and we down under will have to pay for servicing from new.... Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
