How to save money on your extension
Customer, “This quote for the extension to my house is a bit more than I can afford, is there anything you could do to save some money.”
Builder, “Well…, you could dig the foundations out yourself.”

There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.
I think that's how Norman Stanley Fletcher got his allotment dug so his wife could plant her seed potatoes - in a letter home, he made an allusion to burying some loot there, in the sure and certain knowledge that the prison warders would read it.
