SATNAV staying off until turned on

One of the many irritations that I find with my Discovery is that the SATNAV turns on everytime the car is started. Has anyone found a way of reversing the action, ie. it stays off until you turn it on?

Best wishes,

Ascii

Sorry, no way... the closest you can get it to leave it on the screen with the "turn off display" button. So, when it does turn on... it only takes a single press.

Alternatively, cut a sheet of rubber to the size of the screen. Problem solved. Very Happy

Grommet,

Thanks for your reply. I had got as far as leaving it in the 'turn off screen' mode. I'm surprised that there is not more of a revolt amongst D3 owners for such a stupid feature. My dealer says that all his customers ask the same question, but he knows of no solution either.

Best wishes from a wet Northumberland in England to no doubt a sunny California...

do what I do and just leave it on the 4x4 info screen, at least then you don't have the idiot disclaimer screen staring at you, demanding input... Smile
