| satnav settings altered automagically |

Hi all,
My D3 has been giving the HDC fault message on startup for months now. Clears right after the engine is started. Dealer insists nothing wrong with the battery, have asked them to check more than once.
This morning my sat nav settings suddenly were altered. I'm suspecting 'back to default'.... zoom level altered, popup 'enter destination' appears, voice guidance set to 'on'.
Has anyone experienced this? Could the satnav reset be the result of a weak battery?

Have you checked earth straps are all OK & that the battery connections are tight?
Had you switched off those other items previously then? Bodsys Brake Bible

Hi Bodsy,
Have not checked. The satnav is the only symptom. Which earth straps should I check?
I had voice guidance and the enter destination off, and the zoom level was set to 50m. These were reset.

I had similar because of flat battery , but other things like radio settings etc had also changed

my sat nav did this last week, reset itself to the default settings - lost all my prestored destinations, etc. Weird bloody car
