| Satnav display fades in and out |

I've just noticed that when the dashboard display lighting is turned down to a lower setting, the Satnav display dims and brightens almost in time with increasing engine speed when driving.
Is this normal?!

quite normal in these dark winter days .
Shine a torch at the bottom left of the dashboard ( were the alarm light is ) and see if the dimmer on the screen changes ( the light sensor is there ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
