Sat Nav while driving

Does some body know what to do / to change to be able to see the TMC list, to change the target, .... (so to use the whole Sat Nav system) while I' driving ??

I can't understand what the development people thought when they build up the system. It MUST be possible to change the target while driving on the highway.

... so does some body have some ideas. I tried to enter the system menue but I can see only the parameters and I'm not able to change it.

Tks Very Happy Very Happy

Dear Locki,

I wish to upset you but you do know that the Sat-Nav is from Siemens VDO. It's either German logic or some Politically Correct mandate that you cant alter any of the settings whilst driving.

There is a posting here somewhere whichby using hidden menus allows you to remove the interlock, so that everythign works, even whilst you are driving. Unfortunately however it doesnt work on mt D3, but others have made it works.

Dear Big Al,

thanks, I know about the origin of this Nav system. I'm living close by.

I know also about the long press in the upper middle of the monitor, after that to push the left button and enter the "password" 753.

But, in this menue you can SEE only all the parameters, it's very very very interesting, but you (or me Twisted Evil ) are not able to change the settings.

So I'm looking for a way that works.

Bye

Dear Locki,

Sorry for the cheap dig, I too wait to hear of a way to be able to change the values from being read-only to read-write, as safety apart, it would be very useful. As I previously said, I cannot get the hidden menus t do anything other than display the current values either.

Could you explain the "long press in the upper middle of the monitor" thing?

I couldn't get it to work.

Thanks.
