Just a note regarding the HERE maps and their data base. Although their website has the software listed as: "Land Rover Gen2.1 / InControl Touch Plus HDD Europe 2017 Part number T1000-25028"
The data base is actually from the third quarter of 2015. So if you have any new roads in your area that have been constructed since then they won't appear if you do the update.

2017 maps are dated Jan 2016 in the raw text files. This is no guarantee of correct mapping as some of the more established changes on the A1 are not included but some of the junction changes in late 2016 / early 2017 are included. What was most unexpected was the inclusion of all the roads at my place of work - never seen those on any satnav mapping before.

Sorted now. Turned everything off. Locked and unlocked car and it's reset back to home screen. There must be an easier way unless I had a frozen screen?

Mine did the same, although when reversing the camera screen came up. I've locked the car and gone into the office now, so I'll check on the way home.

Map updatestalled

Ive attempted a USB update of my2012 disco 4 nav maps but it stalled after an hour st 30%. The error message says to reinsert the USB to continue, but nothing seems to happen, no % progress or anything.

Any ideas anyone? Should I just just leave it running for 3 hours or do I need to reboot the sat nav somehow and restart the whole process?

I think you need to leave the USB in for the three hours of vehicle running. If it gets removed it causes problems which is why Navteq haven't got it on their site anymore. It should automatically pause the update when you turn off.

Just tried to update mine and followed instructions but no have no maps and when you reinsert the usb it says data is older than on the hard disk! Big Cry

Lars, just wondered if you managed to sort your update in the end and how?

Speaking to Naviexpert on ebay where I bought it but not come back with a solution as yet.

Just a reminder re using Phone / External Sat Nav...

I have a Heated Opticool screen on my D4(12) and it really causes problems with the GPS reception (Tried lots of positions!) so if you buy a Garmin / Tom Tom it may be worth getting an external GPS receiver that you can mount somewhere.

The same thing happened to me , spoke to navi-expert and he sent me a new usb stick, just plugged it in and left it while driving to and from work until it fully installed and everything went fine , just don’t remove the stick until it’s finalised .
