a little off topic her but do i need to do any wire cutting on a RRS or is it just plug and play with the enabled ccf? Sorry to but in but curious as i her looked for this answer and can't seem to be able to find it.

I like the idea of a camera with Infra Red LEDs. The best one I can find that looks like it might work is below. Most listed as IR seem to have white light LEDs. Is there a better option?
There's plenty of room inside the door handle to fit the camera, it's hollow all the way to the top of the handle, I was surprised just how roomy they are inside. Mods:

I thought I'd jump in to this thread rather than start another.
I've got a reversing camera that is enabled via GVIF, and that comes on automatically when reverse is selected.
Only recently, that hasn't been the case. The screen does recognise that reverse has been selected, as it changes from the usual display, only it changes to a black screen now. I've checked all the wiring and everything seems intact, any ideas about why the camera no longer displays?

sounds like the GVIF is doing something.
I would blame the camera (there are cheap and outside)
or a wiring fault (power to camera, or camera to GVIF fault)
