Try unloading the disc, clean it with a soft cloth, and replace.
There were issues that the disc can get scratched, aint a clue why TBH. I have a spare MY06 disc if that helps

I had taken mine to dealer a couple of times who apparently 'rebooted' the system. I then saw advice on here and followed it - just take the disc out and gently blow across the face of it, put it back in and it worked fine.

Ehm... I was looking to remove the disc from the unit.
Does the unit under the (LH) driver's seat have to be screwed out (yeah yeah, I know) or is there any way to take out the disc without removing the dvd player?
Thanks,

Yes, the disc can be removed without taking the unit out, Raise the seat to it's highest and as far forward as it will go. You should then be able to reach round the front, unlock the disc with the slider and then press the eject button.
Reverse this to put the disc back in.
