I think you will be suprised at the cost to build a trailer

D4 gone, missed but replaced with a 110 Puma.
I've recently been re-reading your previous thread on the build of your first Sankey.
( I've been looking at tips / clues for doing some work on my own Sankey, as discussed I want to improve the battery charging system and do some maintenance on the chassis. )
So after reading your thread again I was wondering ... Are you going to document the second build as you did the first and give us all the same enjoyment as before. ? ?
He'll not have the time Phil if Easter is the target still
I'm trying to think of what wasn't in no 1 that is now needed
Maybe adding the Foxwing on the side and mounting the HM side ways, outside of that and a quad copter landing pad I'm stuck Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Yeah that storm blew over when I showed her 2 for sale on eBay for more than I'd paid, that said she can't understand the cost and tells me it a whim and I should just use the original tent
As for my trailer I have a design in mind, just deciding wether to mount the tent to open to one side or the rear, I have the width to mount the 1.6M side ways for rear opening but that will put more weight on the rear of the trailer Altox GSM FBH controller thread

What's the stability like when sleeping on top of these trailers? The overhang looks quite extreme - I have visions of robust characters tipping the whole thing over!

I slept in mine for the first time at the Winter Camp, OK I'd had a few but I never felt it move.

They are really stable and of course there are support legs on the Sankey trailer and the ladder attached to the tent.

I knew you engineer types would have thought the whole thing through!
When I was a nipper I was always being admonished for bouncing on the bed, presume common sense prevails when sleeping at height & all "bedroom" activity is kept to a discreet minimum?!
With regard to " Bedroom Activity" and keeping it to a minimum ,the previous owner (who shall remain nameless as he is a active on the forum) did inform me that the trailer / roof tent had seen plenty of "said " action and that theres plenty of room inside the tent for various activities.
I have to say though that Ive not found any "stainage" to support his word however I do believe him as he is an IT salesman.
no bother over the back or side trailer can handle it
its just id need to add some weight up front to balance , I know my tent only weight 60KG, so maybe a spare on the front and the gas up front too?
I'm not building a dedicated camper ala Wiggs as you know Ray, so have to think about the loading of the tub with the gear maybe Altox GSM FBH controller thread
