We were in Mozam in December and the D3 run every dune there. I have BFG's 265/65/18's on at 1 bar.
I am very impressed with the Disco in the sand. 2005 Discovery 3 V8 SE

Thanks, problem is the BFG 265/65/18 are unobtainable at the moment - with huge back orders. Marius says Big Horn shipment arrived so might try those...

275/70R18 will definitely NOT fit with the stock suspension setup.
It works out at 33.2 inches diameter. Anything over 31.5 inches will rub unless you have shortened suspension rods. Dennis

Some time ago we did the Atlantis dunes with 3 D3 TDV6's. Also totally outnumbered by T+y&t%s, but all three made it over and through all the obstacles - much to the disgust of the non-Disco fraternity ! We even did the last mother of a dune in different modes to see which is the best (auto vs command shift, etc)
On arrival the owner and his son immediately removed the tyre valves and deflated all wheels to 0.8bar - I think mine were even less - that's the secret. Rather dent the ego by a tyre coming off a rim than getting stuck in sand Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. So Deon, are you considering joining the Disco fraternity again?

Noooooooooo
Was just very bored and de moer in after the rugby.
Still looking for a bakkie for the business I'm in now. Land Rover Potchefstroom has bought over a number of Defender Puma 130 SINGLE CABS from the Botswana Defence Force which looks great - bigger pay load than Amarok.
But on the LROC forum a lot of complaints of Puma's overheating
You think LR will bring out a Discovey Bakkie Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
