For Sale RLD wheel protector for D4 (AdBlue Version) suitable for either the 19" or 20" full size spare wheel.
Previously fitted to my D4 Landmark which has now been sold
Everything needed to fit, in good condition but has some surface corrosion showing on the face
PRICE Reduced £40 - collected from Ashbourne Derbyshire or possibly meet up somewhere on route to Somerset

Does this not damage the wheel in the AdBlue version due to it hanging shiny side down? I still have the Land Rover plastic protector but cannot imagine this would last long if someone wanted my wheel.

I have one of these. It goes on the inside of the wheel and is fitted with two plastic plugs which go through the holes in the wheel and the protective plate. These plugs have holes through them and have pins which hold them in place. It cannot damage the wheel.
The LR plastic cover that goes under the wheel is still used. The idea of this plate is to stop people getting a pair of cutters up through the bottom of the wheel and cutting the hoist cable. Very heavy guage metal and well worth it to protect your spare from being stolen. Very well reviewed on this forum.

As above, mine was on for two and a half years and absolutely no damage to the wheel, but an excellent form of protection against spare wheel theft

Plastic protector is just to stop face of alloy wheel being damaged, if they want your spare they just cut into the plastic vents to make gap big enough to get access to winch wire and then snip that, so wheel falls away. The plate on the inside of the wheel is fixed with 2 lugs so they cannot gain access to winch wire. D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Mine never damaged the wheel but for some reason Ad Blue owners don’t seem so worried about having their wheels pinched, there are several for sale on here whereas the non ad blue ones sell in minutes. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
