[For Sale] Prospeed XRS D3/D4 Roof Rack and Ladder
Prospeed D3/D4 roof rack and ladder for sale!
Rack was used on my D4 for several years until I traded it in recently. The roof rack and ladder have then been professionally media blasted, zinc plated then power coated in fresh gloss black. I have also purchased a brand new rack fitting kit from Prospeed themselves, with means that the cowling Velcro, rubber seal and several key fastenings (e.g. cinch nuts) are brand new. There are no rusty fittings - everything is either original stainless fittings or brand new.
There is no structural damage (dents etc.) anywhere on the rack. When I had it, it was used from new with a sheet of phenolic resin ply (trailer board) bolted on, as a 'floor'. (The XRS floor panels weren't available yet when I bought it). Because of this, there has never been individual loads attached the roof rack structure directly, only ever on the 'floor' I fitted which had cargo loops.
The performance and praise of this roof rack system is well known on the forum.
I can't post this - but I'm happy to help load it into a van or similar if you arrange a courier service (at your risk). If you come to collect, I'm more than happy to help you lift it onto the roof as long as you're leading the fitment. I have lots of space off the road to fit it. The rack can be quickly secured to transport it with just the six main mounting points that connect it to the roof rails. You can then faff with the cowlings etc at your leisure. You're more than welcome to fit it all here if you're really keen to, I'm happy to provide tea and support. This would have to be by arrangement at a suitable time/date.
You obviously can just collect the ladder an then fit at your own pace/home/etc. I have printed off the instructions. I have also purchased brand new fitment tape and rubber expansion nuts from Prospeed.
There are a few light scratches on the front rack cowling at the top, not sure if you can see them on the photo. The whole rack and ladder is currently shrink wrapped as you can see, which I've left on for protection but you can see the quality of the new powder coat in the photos and the close-up. There is some uneven surface on the 'hidden' flat panel areas of the ladder where the previous surface was corroded on the surface, but these have now been blasted, primed and recoated so it's all good.
Payment by BACS or Cash.
Asking for £825 for the roofrack and ladder. Please note that there is an 8 to 10 week waiting time on new ones. a new rack and ladder would cost over £1100.
I may consider a split if we find two parties who only want one bit each.
