I'd say that is spot on.
I paid £14,500 for a similar car with 115,000 on the clock and I flew to Edinburgh to get it.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

You would be surprised at what webuyanycar.com will offer you for it.
My friend has just sold a 12 plate HSE with similar miles to WBAC.com and he thought he had been fiscally raped by them but let it go anyway as company car forced his decision.
It seems Discoveries are a victim of their own success as there are so many of them on the market to choose from.
A general rule we used when I was selling trucks was that they had a trade value at 3 years of age at 45% of their invoice value when sold new dependent of course on condition and mileage but surmised to be in good condition.
I personally think that is an unfair amount of depreciation as the vehicle is still capable of many more years of usable life left in it.
Just my opinion for what it is worth but I've been in the trade all my working life and thats how it seems to pan out..

A few questions...
How many owners?
Any known/outstanding issues with suspension, drive-train, engine, etc.?
Have you replaced any of the suspension components (arms, bushes, compressor, etc.) whilst you've owned it?
Do all electrics and electronics work as expected (air-con, seats, radio, etc.)?
Any damage to interior/exterior?
Do you know if the current warranty can be renewed/extended?
Do you have all of the service history paperwork?
Are you aware of any fault codes logged if you've got a reader?
(Stupid questions, sorry):
Do the HSE Xenon lights have cornering and active lights on this model/age?
Does your car have bluetooth audio streaming from an iPhone or similar?
Does it have any standard/aftermarket remote control of the FBH?
Whereabouts around Chester are you? (Please PM if you don't want this too public.)
Could you also PM me the reg plate so I can do a few other checks?
I'm currently deciding what to do with our D3 (carry on maintaining trigger's broom or not!) and a replacement D4 could definitely be a tempting option...Cheers,

Try Evans Halshaw if for are selling direct to a Dealer. You should get a better price and a grown up conversation about the condition. I sold mine last week (see thread) via this route without any hassle or hours arguing over stone chips.
