[For Sale] Mercury 15hp Outboard Engine
Good evening all,
I have sadly up for sale my 2-stroke 15hp Mercury Outboard Engine.
I have owned this for 10years and has been serviced annually after each summer season. I alternate between servicing it my self and a marine engineer (in Plymouth).
Last used in Summer 2019. During lock downs I had it running on the hose to ensure all is ok. Always flushed out with fresh water after every use. Used as a motor on my tender. The flushing muff will be included.
I also gave it a touch up with Mercury black paint at the end of last year just to tidy it up. I have left the original decals on it as I like them as they are. But if you managed to get replacement ones to match the year it would look brand new.
Fuel can included which is about half full ish 50:1 mixture using quicksilver 2 stroke oil.
Kill cord and everything ready to go straight off and be used.
These are great engines and becoming hard to find good examples.
As you can see if the photos it is running well and these were taken this week.

I am looking for £1000 d collection from Bristol (if you want to see it running), or I can meet somewhere agreeable and can send videos.
Only selling as I have just had my first child and I won’t be using this bigger engine for a while so a shame to keep in the garage. Will have to stick to my smaller 6hp

Sailorboi, it looks like a short shaft in the images, is that correct?
If so it's quite sought after.
£1k is a very good price if it is SS, but although I've been looking out for one for a while I'm really looking for something a little cheaper that needs work.
Been regretting selling my DT15 for ages now, as I'm planning to get a smaller boat again for times when I want to get on the water and it's just too much hassle to launch my RIB.
Nasher.Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

I know I am going to regret selling it but at the moment different priorities in life now
