Heated steering wheel for Discovery 4 2009-2013 (ie pre MY14), complete with full switch packs and flappy paddles.
This is a former Range Rover Sport wheel (from a 2012 vehicle). It has the perforated leather at the 9 and 3 O'clock positions and smooth leather elsewhere.
It also has the extra switches for the heater (4 O'clock position) and for the automatic cruise control (ACC) distance adjustment (8 O'clock position). These ACC switches can be removed if you wish and a blank placed in the hole, or left on, they are unobtrusive. Or you may wish to try a retrofit of ACC to the earlier D4 - other threads on here discuss this.
This wheel fits the early D4 ie 2009 - 2013, but not MY14 onwards - the canbus electronics in the switches are different and a later wheel 'as' is' won't work on an earlier D4.
The wheel is in good condition and has some marks on the facing leather of the wheel rim which I have shown on the photos below.
You will also need a steering wheel squib (or clock spring) with the heated option to make this work. This is not supplied but can be obtained from motor factors/dealers/sometimes on this forum.
I have the same RRS wheel fitted to my 2011 D4, and the heated rim and flappy paddles are great. Note that it is possible to use flappy paddles with the 6 speed box on the earlier D4s using software from Gap Diagnostics and the IID BT tool. This is what I did with my D4 and the Gap Diagnostics software cost was £25 to enable the flappy paddles via the IID BT tool.
I bought two of these (long story - the first was taking ages to arrive, so I bought a second one, then the first turned up before the second one). Thus this second wheel is surplus to my requirements now.

Wheel can be collected from West Byfleet (KT14), observing safe social distancing, or posted for £10.
