I'm fairly confident with electronics, can check for intermittent contacts where cables plug-in for a start.

On that topic looks like you're possibly wrong side of the A83 landslips, shucks )) Are they diverting down the old road or is that washed away too ? I love your part of the world !

We are indeed the other side of the Rest ABT but its actually quite good at this time of year, very little in the way of caravans and motorhomes for a change.
Apart from the first 24/48hrs of a landslide its pretty much business as usual as they utilise the Old Military road on a convoy system. Western Ferries also operate a great service across the Clyde but can get busy at peak periods.
On the plus side lockdown doesn't affect us as much as those living in densely populated areas

Hello, quick word of good news to all on this thread.
I've just spotted a £70 credit in my PayPal a/c, a refund for the amp mentioned in my posts above which was lost by a careless courier company (Hermes).
My grumbles above about loss of £70 can now be parked and forgotten.
I am very grateful to Paul Wheeldon for refunding my payment - I do sincerely hope he obtains a refund from Hermes.
I've only ever lost two deliveries from couriers down the years - in both cases it was Hermes ((
So, very pleasing way to end the weekend !!
