Monday morning bump.

This can also be exchanged for a bluetooth version via the gap website.

That's not correct, plain wrong in fact, you can use a laptop, you don't need the in-dash readout to operate this model.
GAP do a computer program that represents the in-dash screen and it replicates the cruise buttons etc. that are used to operate the IID tool. Wink

I use mine via my laptop and it definitely helps to simplify the process. Thumbs Up

Really I never know that. That makes it rather good if you can use a laptop.

Does this have exactly the same functions as the Bluetooth version?

It will do every mod, fault reading, updating and programming etc. that it's Bluetooth brother will do.
It is slightly trickier to use as it's not quite as user friendly and intuitive as the Bluetooth version but it is, 100%, just as capable. Thumbs Up

Can I just add that as a non Bluetooth user myself I can confirm that yes, although it pretty much can do everything a Bluetooth model can it does fall short in some areas as I have recently found out.
After lots of discussion with pat @gap (amazing after sales support) we came to the conclusion that although the non Bluetooth mk1 version is indeed very capable and manages most things it has ultimately matched and exceeded its original capabilities now... In my case it wasn't capable of successfully completing a transfer case update.. No matter what pat tried it was just not capable sadly.. But supportive as ever he did offer a very generous upgrade price to the Bluetooth version.
But still for most it is more than adequate...just don't assume it WILL do everything a later version will as it won't.
