[For Sale] Discovery 3 2006 HSE Cairns Blue **Reduced £3500*
**** Reduced to £3500****
Well the time has come when 2 LR's need to become 1 LR and a runabout town car. So between a D3 and FL2, the older D3 has to go as it's not being used to any degree better than the FL2 can achieve.
The Disco has been the family workhorse over the past 9 years, but the family have finally moved out and using it to run 10 miles to work is the most exercise it's getting. It did me proud during the pandemic moving some 20 boxes of PPE to the NHS in one go, but that's a rare occasion nowadays. It's still been a hard choice between the 2 LR's but the head has overruled the heart on this one.
Its been regularly serviced, mainly by one of my 4x4 Response mates who is LR qualified. But lately I put it into a local Indy for the full belts and oil pump change. After the autobox broke, the local transmission engineering firm fully reconditioned the unit and last year, 6 years later, I got Bodsy to give it a full flush again along with replacing the Diff oils and an ECU revamp too. I replaced the main battery in Jan this year as it wasn't holding it's charge fully. Even so it starts first time, every time!
Air suspension rises and falls with no issue, Low ratio selection works well (I checked especially to make sure recently) as does the Terrain Response system.
As stated it's a HSE with all those refinements, and I'll leave the Ebay dash cam installed as it gives a good reverse view as well when R is selected. The Response, NHS and Landrover stickers on the rear have been removed.
Just under 173000 on the clock and yes you do see a full tank but that may not last until the sale date as the remaining cars run on diesel too
If interested please PM me.

Bad stuff;
Aircon leaks at the rear pipes. I was quoted £500 for the work to replace the pipes and regas, I did buy replacement pipe that cuts out the rear feed (for cars with no rear aircon but never got around to it.
FBH works intermittently and needs a service. It will prime using software.
Previous owner replaced the windscreen with cheapo chinese version so many of the elements no longer heat. That said the feed to it does work and a replacement screen will too.Dave

SB100 yeh its madness, the VRT has gone up, they have introduced a NOX charge now on top of VRT.
So they charge you so much more money for each emission the vehicle puts out. Load of to be honest, coal is still pumping out of chimneys here.
Maybe thats an option, im actually from the wirral so I could just shoot across and pick it up
Maybe I could move back home
