If anyone out there is looking to upgrade (WELL WORTH A LOOK) this is a cracking motor and the colour combo really sets it off in the sun as I said been had a look and test drive and you know when you get a feel for a motor and would have had it
But for me Year/Mileage vs Price as I say for ME just a bit to rich😞

It is a great colour combo in the flesh but do people want the ladder, underbody protection and rock rails? It makes you wonder if it’s done some tough off road work. Might be better taking the overland bits off and selling them separately?

I'll be looking at taking the ladder of this weekend so that will be available. Maybe the steps as well

What sort of money did they offer you I always found them to be on the low side. Ok if you were desperate I guess.

To be fair I sold my D3 to a well known trader on here for a reasonable amount less than he sold it for a few days later.
I was still happy since it was painless for me at the time.

Traders need to make a profit at the end of the day.

The difference is rather low if you consider the dealer is on hook for consumer protection laws, needs to pay salaries, corporate overhead, taxes, etc.

One man band all serviced mot and only needs a clean before selling on so profit margins are not to bad however no one was interested at a price that was only £150 higher on the forum and I would have included a few extra bits and pieces but as I say paranoia about the engine going pop eventually got to me,as an aside I have just spoken to the farmer whose 2016 disco engine has failed and has been told the final bill will be £21,000 luckily paid for by landrover and while in the dealer was told of one poor customer who managed just eight miles in his new Range Rover sport before needing a new engine as I have said before in 50 years in the motor trade never changed an engine for a broken crank so although perhaps “only” one and a half per cent failure rate is still much to high and with no real interest from landrover in giving a meaningful amount towards the cost of repairs if you are one of the unlucky ones who does not have a pile of cash to replace the only real option is to beak it for parts,I really loved the car but could not take the risk.
