I don’t understand that if ford can knock these out at around 30k for a good capable utility 4x4 that’s nice to drive and gets you most places
Why and how have JLR lost the plot !! They need a working 4x4 for general use , I’m guessing easy finance has made the So called posh % of people go up the ladder missing a few steps on the way

Stew, it's basically down to economies of scale. Although LR are a "Big" UK Manufacturer, that's just it, they are still mainly UK, unlike the global giants like FORD etc who can under pin their nice products with the mass market products.
As much as we may dislike it LR have chosen to go for the cream of the crop and abandon their heritage as far as customer base is concerned, but only time will tell whether they make it or become another Motor Industry statistic - for the employees I hope they make it, for the likes of us, well I'm afraid unless we can stump up the extra cash and are willing to put up with their lack of Customer Service, we'll have to find different modes of transport.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Yes and the competition 70 years ago wasn’t like it is now , and I doubt they had so many bean counters to keep happy then also -------------------------------------------------
