[For Sale] 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial
Well with the new Defender arriving in the country it's time to move my trusty stead on to new pastures.
2016 Commercial in Corris Grey, (not played around with) original bulkhead in place, rear windows don't come down, and rear side windows blanked out - exactly as the tax man and your insurance company expects to find one, if you want to change it after buying it then by all means do so but I won't take the risk.
Used by me for mostly long runs up and down the country to access our wind farms, (from Edinbane on Skye done to Ramsgate in Kent and many stops in between. Also used for towing my two trailers when the need arose. Mileage is 129k, full LRSH until I bought the car on 112K and then serviced and maintained by our very own Disco Mikey in Dundee (always worth the trip).. over £2.5k spent in the last 12 months as I need my cars to be right doing that kind of mileage.
Last serviced in September 2023 by DM, new uprated brakes all round (inc hand brake shoes and Green stuff pads) in the last month fitted by my local brakes specialist North East Brakes. MOT until 17th Jan 2025 (no advisories on the last one). Car comes with FBH (fully working) and altox remote start (needs sim card) fitted by CDS.
Extras fitted... this will be a long list..
Towtrust TL1 towbar
RLD spare wheel protector
Prospeed rear ladder (almost new)
Full height cargo barrier
Prospeed Mk1 Rock Sliders
Black side vent
Prospeed Light brackets (the lights ARE NOT Included in the sale as they will fit my defender)
CTEK charger plug attached to light bracket
Light LOK security for headlights
Apple CarPlay fitted by CDS - best upgrade by far!
Heated Steering wheel (factory)
HSE electric front seats with arm rests - perfect for long journeys
Heated front seats
501 style 20 inch rims in black with GG AT3 tyres - min 6mm tread all round
Black wheel bolts (£100 for the set!)
Black centre caps
Security upgrade to the rear lights
Full rubber mats front and cargo compartment (removed to be cleaned)
Fire extinguishers have been removed as has the first aid kit (work requirement).
Also available at a little extra cost to the purchaser:
Extra set of 20 inch black alloys with nearly new summer tyres (Nokian I think)
Black Front undertray by Mantec (not fitted), this cost me £400 and the £300 to have it powder coated in black but never been fitted.
Prospeed front light bar (not fitted)
Various seat and boot covers (not fitted)
Barjo Rear tailgate guard
60cm boot basket
Various other D4 bits that I have kicking around
Bad bits - very short list! a few marks on the paint (one ns rear wheel arch like that when I bought the car) and a couple of marks on the rear bumper (again there when I bought the car). Top radiator hose has a slight cut so I've taped it and cut back the plastic cover, (I have a new hose in the glovebox but not had chance to fit it).
Both timing belts done in 2022 (receipts) belts and rear upper (HD) and front lower arms (Myele HD) done, gear selector module replaced in 2022, new main battery last year, start/stop battery in 2022. HP fuel pump in 2022, air compressor in 2022, rear brake pipes in 2023, front wheel bearings done and two working keys.
V5 is in my company name so any sale price will have VAT added (not negotiable), if you're buying for a business this can be claimed back so you will be getting a VERY cheap car.
Full HPI clear - no finance - asking price is £12,500 plus VAT (actually less than I can get as a trade in then selling the extras separately but I'd rather the car wentt o someone else n the forum who will appreciate it for what it is.
The car is located in rural Aberdeenshire so I'm happy to collect you from either Huntly train station or Aberdeen airport if you're a serious buyer.
Thanks for looking.

At least you’ve got somewhere to hide them, or plausible deniability (it’s a customer’s car, honestly dear). Mrs DSL would notice it before I even got the park brake on.
