[For Sale] 2008.5MY D3 HSE Stornaway Grey

Hi

It has been suggested that I post my car for sale as a forum member could be interested. It is going into my local dealer in two weeks time for a P/X on a FFRR so anyone interested will need to be quick. I have only agreed to a stupid trade in price because I don't have time to deal with tyre kickers and so on, so please only respond if you are (a) genuinely interested and (b) have the cash to complete a purchase and take the car away in a couple of weeks' time. Happy to take you for a quick drive if you want but I drive the car every day around town with no trouble except for an annoying squeak once in a while from the NSF when driving over a harsh speed bump.

She has covered c.180,000 largely trouble free miles and it will be a sad day to see her go.
One owner from new (me), with a top of the range specification from new – the only options I didn’t have were the active diff (wanted the rear aircon instead and it was either / or at the factory) and a DPF. The bulk of the miles have been long distance motorway miles – travelling to the Alps and back, from Kent to Northumberland and back (family) and down to the West Country for holidays. New MOT (just done) with no advisories.

Spec list:
• Stornoway grey
• Five spoke HSE alloys with Grabber AT3 tyres – fronts new 300 miles ago, rears about 2,000 miles ago, spare is new
• 7 seats
• Harmon Kardon Logic 7 stereo
• LR SatNav
• Hybrid TV
• LR factory fitted Rear Seat Entertainment system (no headphones) with remote control
• DVD player (6 disc multichanger)
• Sun roof plus Alpine roof and blinds
• Driver memory seat with all the electrical adjustments including lumbar support
• Electric Adjustable Steering column
• Rear seats aircon package
• Heated front and rear seats
• LED reversing lights and rear fog lights
• LED DRLs / front fog lights
• D4 late model style grill in gloss black – or you can have the original D3 version instead
• Dynamic sweep smoked indicator repeaters (or you can have the original D3 orange ones)
• Body colour door handles
• Removable tow bar and electrics package (LR factory fitted)
• Premium rubber floor mats (front, middle and back) and boot mat
• Factory fitted piano black trim
• Ebony premium leather interior – it feels like a much younger car inside – leather is regularly cleaned and fed
• TPMS
• Centre cubby cooler box
• Privacy glass
• Heated front and rear screens
• Parking distance control front and rear
• Adaptive bi-xenon headlights
• Roof Rails
• Cruise control
• Bluetooth phone integration (LR factory fitted)
• Powerfold heated exterior mirrors
• LED rear number plate lights
• Heated washer jets
• Dash phone mount – Brodit holder not included (taking to new car)
• LED puddle lights – Land Rover D3 Logo in LED from Powerful (unless you want the originals)

Full service history – just been serviced by Land Rover including new oil and fuel filters.
She drives and pulls like a demon even without a remap – the dealer driver commented at its last service on a test drive that it felt like a car with just 40,000 to 50,000 on the clock.

The private plate on the car is NOT included in the sale and will be put on retention prior to purchase.

The bad bits:
• There is a small dent about 5cm across in the rear passenger door near the front edge. It has been there for about ten years (don’t ask – kids);
• Usual stone chips and parking marks for a 12 year old car
• Top of the driver’s door card has some polishing where your arm rests
• The driver’s seat will at some point need a new track motor – it is tired and needs replacing (about £150 from any dealer)
• There are some further marks on the door cards from trapped seat belts (kids again)
• One of the TPMS sensors needs replacing as it gives intermittent warnings when all the tyres are 100% okay
• Driver’s floor mat has a hole in it from my heel, the driver's B pillar seat belt trim has some scoring from where the belt goes in and out and the passenger A pillar trim is a little loose

She has been well looked after and I will be sad to see her go, but my drive is only so big.
I will post a bunch of photos in my gallery but do please ask if you want any more.

The D4 steering wheel, switch packs, BBS boards and stalks are available but on their own cost me nearly £400 so are not included in the sale unless you are at the all inclusive price. The original D3 wheel and stalks (which are all in good condition without tears etc) will be fitted at time of purchase unless agreed otherwise.

I also have the LR factory dog guard and a full set of brand-new premium carpet mats that are available if you wish to buy them, otherwise I will list them on the FS thread.

I would like to get £4,000 for the car or £4,450 with all the bits and pieces of spares. I also have a GAP IID tool registered to the car – which I will include for another £300 (huge reduction on the RRP). In the interests of absolute openness, the dealer has offered me £3,000 less a £500 admin fee so I can keep all the bits, take out some of the toys, sell them elsewhere and get close to the asking price which is a no hassle, no bargaining, no trouble solution for me.
