Sadly another (2.7) bites the dust
2006 * 2.7 * 101k miles very clean, even engine internals
New belts fitted not long ago, with uprated oil pump and new coolant pump
Engine seized solid - history not known.
Left to right = front to rear of engine,
Number 5 Conrod shells missing from the photos are reduced to metal shavings in the sump.
I guess the shells moved to block oil flow and resulting friction snapped the conrod. Upper part of conrod is bent, still in the engine. Piston seems tight in the bore.Chris
