S Seat, showing wear at 12 months old
The drivers seat is starting to look like it won't be long before it needs some fixing. As you can see, the area in question is the bit I , and I guess most people, pivot around when getting in and out. This can't be an isolated case, or can it ???

Hi there. Well, unless I can levitate, not sure there is a way of getting in / out without a “90 degree†swivel, unlike a normal car when you can plan a foot on the ground as you get out …...............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

Levitation sounds like the only answer then 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Only today I have noticed at 3 months old that there is a crease forming on the outside edge of my S drivers seat - it is the sliding swiveling getting in and out thats doing it I'm sure - but then I'm on the undertall side Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
I also thought about this with the leather seats on mine.
I sort of try to put my bum on the centre part of the seat first before swivelling in but at the same time put my elbow on the centre console to take the weight of my bum of the seat when I turn.
If you are short in height then this would be a bit hard to do. I'm 6' so at Normal height its okay.

I've noticed the same although more over the central portion of the seat. Have only done 21K & no one heavier than 12st drives the vehicle -think it's another one for the list when it next goes in to L/RRichard
