Does any1 on here have photos to show the location where the mounting brackets for S/S side tubes are on the chassis. Its just that im going to a chap the weekend who makes his own S/S tubes & brackets and want to be sure of mounting locations for the brackets in order to get measured correctly.
Any help appreciated gents & ladies!! 07 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial (Java Black) with:

Well D to be honest a fella at work has them on his TLC and seem cosmetic more than anything, but look alrite. Having down loaded the fitting instructions from the above thread for the Genuine LR S/S Side-tubes im not so sure this chap could rig together a set of mounting brackets like the LR one's? any alternative area he could mount brackets to ya think that would not be in the way of access for jacking up or access to compressor for suspension should it be needed! 07 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial (Java Black) with:

To be honest if you were thinking of doing any bit of offroading they'd be a waste of time and money. If you are dead set on making something up then I do have a set of brackets for sidesteps available that you can borrow to measure up.I know they're not the same as the tube brackets but with a bit of ingenuity they could be made to work.
I ruined a set ( well one side)of steps on an outing that had escaped damage on previous events. But I found that I was always conscious of them being there and maye took a little bit of the fun out of things as I held back 'cos I didnt want to them up.
When I did take the steps off and removed the plastic cills I uncovered a serious amount of damage .So I bit the bullet and made up a set of slider/tree guards which I hope will work but do need a few bits tweaking.See my gallery.
Let me know if you want to borrow the brackets
