Rusty brake discs
Does anyone else have brake discs that rust very quickly after being used in the rain or after washing??? Mine seem to have rusted up 24 hrs after washing the cars. Tried a search on rusty brake discs & only came up with:
First pic is my HSE, second Mrs DSL's S which seems always to rust more than my car. Fronts & rear discs rusted up the same amount, both were shiney & clean before washing as both had just been used. Any thoughts on this or am I just being paranoid?

Looks normal to me. I tend to drive the car for a bit after washing just to avoid the rust.

has been the same on all my cars. I do have a good blast up the road and back following a wash... forces all the nasty clean water away before I go looking for swollen fords (local one is rather full and fast today).

Thanks, must confess these are the first cars I have washed every couple of weeks of so, D2 & previous cars got washed when they got serviced. Better cut back on the washing, wouldn't want to wear them away!

yeah it's normal, if i wash mine and don't use it for a couple of days [god forbid], the auto park brake takes more revs to release and comes off with a jerk [ no, no, no, ... i'm not the jerk]. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
