Having tried various searches on the forums, I can't find a post which I read recently about recommended RPM for the first few thousand miles of D4 driving.
Can someone point me to it ?

there is none
just use it and abuse it (when the oil is hot)
driving too soft may bring bore issues e.g. glazing/ridging (and bore(as in boredom) issues)
also low revs shock the cam drivetrain more
I did wait until mine hit 1000kms before going off road (suspension need a bit bedding in too) It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
