When should it run?

Read lots of posts about this.

Started the car last night a couple of minutes before needing it. Temp said 5 degrees. OK FBH should kick in, and it did. Great. Nice toasty cabin in a bout 5 mins.

First issue. I had let the diesel run down, as I hadnt been near a petrol station . Only had 11 miles worth of fuel in the tank. Many on here say it wont run with less than a quarter!

Got home. Locked car. Went in house. About 5 mins later came out as I had forgotten something. FBH was still running. Didnt unlock car, but as I got closer I heard it winding down and stopping.

So can the controls be adjusted with the IID tool to allow use with minimal fuel in tank, and should it over run by about 5 mins after car is off and double locked?

AFAIK it should not run with minimal fuel in the tank. This cannot be changed with IID.

Yes it will run on for a few minutes after stopping.
There are two rules for success,
1. Never tell everything you know.

RLD Sump Guard
Narpy Style RRS Grille from Beanie
Discostick 3rd button FBH controller
IID BT

Thanks for the reply.

It was definitely running. Filling it up later, will see how much it takes.

The most fuel I've got in was 84 litres. That showed 0 miles left! The tanks is 91 litres?

edit D3 might be different?

THey do a cool down cycle, during shutting down. So it was probably that.

The cool down cycle is actually louder than heating from memory!
