Yes, Friday was a bad example. Sat approx 50 cars from the tolls for nearly three hours. Saw a nice unmarked black disco 4 being used by the armed response. It looked to have some nice extras and sounded very good when it raced past us.
That said, disco 4 was fun to drive in central London. Beep horn, then just floor it away from lights and junctions.

LR seem to have the worst possible mapping and display (1980's quality graphics) on the market. Cannot believe that they spend so long developing the new Range Rover and RRS yet still include these useless systems.

They work fine ...I firmly believe it is user error \ ignorance in the vast majority of cases 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

They do take a little bit of setting up but personally I agree with DG. Spend a little time with the manual and fine tune it to your needs and it is usually as accurate as any other integrated Satnav. I'm confident to drive anywhere and then when it's time to go home, still confident that it will get me home. On another note, residual/trade values will probably be affected if the car does not have Satnav. It's almost a de rigeur option in modern cars these days. Maybe a sad fact but also a true one.

I would tend to agree with DG and steveraspberry, it is just sooooooooo slow inputting on the 2012 version and was well out of date before I even got the car. It doesn't even have the M74 extension even when it had been open for maybe a year or so before I got it, should I really have to pay through the nose for an update?
I do like to have an idea where I am going though to hopefully avoid any major diversions!Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Yes, they will get you from A to B but the input and handling of information, the processing speed, the mapping quality and graphics are rubbish. I suppose it depends what you are used to but latest model Mercedes, Audi and BMW are way better (especially BMW which has a fantastic system)

Had the Pro Media in my now departed 5 series and it was fab. Nav, TMC, iPhone integration, DAB, t'interweb, etc., etc. were really, really good. It even read out loud any texts you received. And the navigation system never once tried to take me off a main road, though a village then back on.

Ah yes ....I see
I've used my BiL's new X3 M and I definitely would not say it is "way better" ...but then each to their own 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I was careful not to use the word "better" as a map, drawing pin and length of string is better than the satnav in my poverty spec D3.
