Had the sidesteps fitted for three years. Few weeks ago one of the aluminium trims fell off.
Decided to pop rivet it back on yesterday and went under the car to sort it. Amazed at the rotten state of the steps, every bit of the paint was flaking off and metal rusty. Certainly not the quality we should expect from LR.
Anyone know of sidesteps I could replace them with of a better quality?

Mine are the same underneath, I expect the trim to fall off anytime now...........I tried to claim them under warranty. I was told the rotten state is completely normal.....they are in fact a consumable. end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Mine is six months out of warranty.
I was told if they are fitted at the time of buying the car you get the 3 year warranty, if you fit after 12 months

that is true, however a warranty claim on sidesteps is only valid if it physically falls off i think.........To be fair mine are no worse now than they were after 12 months.....but I do spend a bit of time sluicing all the crap out from under them when I wash the vehicle which I didn't do to start with. end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

hi
try these ones
i have had them about 4 years and no problems
just moved them to new disco and they look as good as new
very easy to fit(no drilling or cutting sills)
brackets are power coated so no rust and steps themselves
are wearing very well
regards

hi flack
i do not have mud flaps fitted but i checked the space and there seems to be enough to fit mud flaps
the whole side step can be adjusted forward and backwards a good few inches so i see no problem fitting
mud flaps
