I laid the strips on a radiator for 30 mins before I put them on.....as I did it on a cold day.
I found it very difficult to get them exactly to my masking tape line, but then they look fine.Matt

When mounting the strip on the back doors, leave plenty of space between the front door. When the back door opens the strip can catch on the edge of the front door. The dealer replaced mine because it was catching.

Had mine dealer fitted, after three weeks they started to delaminate. Had second set fitted for free and they seem to be ok...I think the first set were fitted when it was to cold.http://www.island-weather.co.uk
I wouldn't trust the dealer fitting any accessories. I'm sure you can do a better job yourself and take more care.
Fitting these strips for instance....if you follow the instructions, they can only be done if the temperature is above 20degC. Therefore, none would be fitted until June-Sept. I bet the dealers just slap them on in any temperature.
If you do it yourself, warm the strips up on a radiator and put a hair dryer on the door for 2 mins. Then the clue should stick okay in virtually any temperature.Matt
