This new toolbar looks great. But I can't download it and I can't work out why. I get a block with a message "Software installations is currently disabled. Click on Edit Options to enable it and try again".
Yet if I add the Google site as an allowed site (or indead disable the security option completely) it still keeps blocking the download. Any ideas? Matt

After a lot of searching on Google, I found the answer why I couldn't install extensions in Firefox. It was becuase the option was disabled in a previous version and then when I upgraded to version 1.5, the option has been removed and therefore I was no longer able to enable it.
If anyone is interested, the fix is:
* Firefox 1.5: If you previously disabled this option and then updated to Firefox 1.5, the disabled setting will be carried over. Since the option to enable software installation no longer exists in the UI, you will need to use about:config to reset the "xpinstall.enabled" preference to the default "true" value (bug 310737). These step-by-step instructions should fix the problem:
1. Type about:config in the Location Bar and hit enter.
2. Type xpi in the Filter box and find xpinstall.enabled in the list.
3. Make sure its value is set to "true" (double-click will toggle). Matt

I note that the RSS formatted page doesn't work again....the frustrating thing is I subscribed to it and asked it to update the feed every 15minutes...now my posts on the main site show as read before I've sometimes had chance to read them. Can you fix it Martin so I can go in and change the update frequency back to zero 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

When I got back this evening there had been posts since I left this arvo which should of been in the 'new posts' section ....but they were not Is this due to the setting I set in the rss feed or not do ya think? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Nothing to do with it at all - the new posts system often throws its toys out - hence this feature... 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I've temporarily disabled the RSS feed as I believe it may have been causing problems with site load. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Will it be coming back? I find it handy to have the excitement beamed to my phone, but if it speeds things up a tad - then I am not worthy. D3 HSE V8...

If/when it comes back it will be in a modified form that doesn't abuse the database quite as much 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
