RSE - HDMI in
Quick question, do any of the D4s with RSE have HDMI-in for AUX instead of phono? It would make it easier to connect a modern device.
Also, is it possible to enable the Sync button (from later LRs) for front-seat control of the rear screens? Specifying each screen individually is a pain.
Also while posting, has anyone worked out what the specification needs to be for MP3s to work? Some of mine work, some give an error message.

The sync button works ok on mine. Once something is playing on one screen, the sync button makes the source play on both screens. Bri

I don't have a sync button at all. It's just not there on the Rear Media page.
Maybe a feature only on later models.

Rear Media Source Sync came on MY14+. If you want to play HDMI sources, you'll need an HDMI to Composite video converter that will output CVBS PAL at 720x576 resolution D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

I have just picked up my beautiful 12 D4 HSE Lux. Searched high and low to try and work out how to sync a dvd so it will play on both screens so no arguing (which is why I wanted the DVD screens to start with!!!).
there is no "sync" softkey. Do they play in sync as a default?
any help gratefully received.

Not sure what you’re asking as you can play a DVD off the head unit to both rear screens but you need to select each screen to DVD. The Synch came in with Meridian in Sept 13 (14MY) and is a short cut to get both screens displaying the DVD without having to select individually.
On a side note, it would appear the Disco 4 could work with Dual View from a RRS. The workshop manual for LR4 has a section on it and I think I’ve seen a CCF edit to. Anyone tried it in a LR4?
